It's on everyone's lips right now, Kent Hughes is actively looking to move up the Habs' draft rankings to select young Will Smith. In the last few hours, the CH general manager has done it again, once more with his Sharks counterpart. You'd think he'd try a different approach. But there's more. Hughes is in close contact with the Ducks' GM, too, to try and get his hands on Adam Fantilli.

It looks like the Habs are interested in moving up in the draft to get Adam Fantilli 👀

👇👇👇 pic.twitter.com/rMm5H6FuCT- /r/Habs (@HabsOnReddit) June 14, 2023
With the Tricolore's relief already showing great promise, you can't blame Hughes for trying to hit one last home run, even if he has to sacrifice the Panthers' 31st pick and a prospect or two. We don't know what offers have been made to the Sharks and Ducks, but one thing's for sure: negotiations are well and truly underway, and it's a safe bet that several names have been bandied about all along. Stay tuned...
