According to noted journalist Adrian Dater, who covers the Colorado Avalanche, Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews will not change teams at the trade deadline.

"I spoke with several sources today and I can say with confidence: it is highly unlikely that Jonathan Toews will be traded this season."

Wow considering #19 for the Hawks was a target in Colorado, but also for several other teams looking to add a defensive center to their team for the playoffs, this is a huge turnaround.

It is also very bad news for Chicago GM Kyle Davidson, who would have liked to trade Toews in the next few days.

Remember that the latter has a no-movement clause, which means that he must absolutely agree to lift his clause to be traded. Moreover, he is currently on the injured list.

This situation is obviously great news for Kent Hughes, who sees Sean Monahan's value increase drastically. Given that the 29 year old veteran is back in training and that his return to the game could be in the next few days, it is becoming more and more concrete that he will be available for a trade soon.
