San Jose Shark Superstar Erik Karlsson has been on the trade block for a very long time. He may finally move on from the Sharks this offseason, as his trade value has never been higher. The two-time Norris Trophy winner (Sens fans like to argue that he should have four), had a transcendent season from the back end last year putting uo an unprecedented 25 goals, 76 assists and 101 points. No defenseman has passed the 100 point threshold this century. After months of speculation, it appears that the Sharks may finally be on track to moving him. Pierre LeBrun dropped new information on TSN: According to my information, the Sharks have met with Karlsson's representatives, and both sides are on the same page. The Sharks and Karlsson's camp agree to work together to make a trade.-Pierre LeBrun

Due to Karlsson's hefty $11.5 million cap hit, it has been hard to move Karlsson up until now. NHL teams can exceed the salary cap by 10% in the offseason. Even with that Sharks GM Mike Grier may have to recruit a third team, to retain some salary in a potential trade.
Potential Destinations
Karlsson has been rumored to move to teams like Edmonton, Ottawa, and Florida in the past.

As seen on Major turn of events regarding Erik Karlsson according to Pierre Lebrun
