While everyone is wondering if, or rather when, we will be able to see Juraj Slafkovsky with Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield on the same trio, the Tricolore's number 14 had some interesting things to say about the young Slovak: Slafkovsky and I have been training together for a few weeks, skating together. It's good to get to know him, he's fun to be around. On the ice he's bigger than I thought. He's working very hard, he'll be ready for camp and we'll see how the trios are put together. One thing I noticed about him is that he likes to pass the puck. He's not going to just take a shot every chance he gets. He wants to make plays and get the puck to the net. I think we would complement each other well in that sense. - Nick Suzuki There's no question that Nick Suzuki will be the team's first centre and Slafkovsky is a rookie. Knowing Martin St. Louis, he won't be afraid to bring the kid up if his efforts are on point, but it would still be surprising to see him on the first line early in the campaign.
