Montreal Canadiens prospect Joshua Roy has continued to impress since being selected in the fifth round of the 2021 draft.

In the space of a few months, the Quebecer has gone from an obscure young player drafted in the late rounds, to one of the organization's finest jewels.

While Roy's offensive potential has never been lacking, his development allows him to truly believe in his chances of making it to the NHL one day.

Yesterday, via its official page, the Montreal Canadiens organization gave us news about his season, which had an exceptional week. He was even named the QMJHL player of the week.

See the publication:

"Our prospect Joshua Roy has 10 points in his last three games!"

Now 19 years old, Roy has a very solid 71 points, including 32 goals, in just 42 games this season. He even has a positive +50 rating, but it must be said that he plays for a league powerhouse.

He also shined during the last World Junior Hockey Championship, finishing his tournament with five goals and 11 points in seven games.

We can't wait to see him graduate to professional hockey next season. Even if he doesn't make the Habs team directly, he will continue his development with the Laval Rocket.
