During a wild play in a Junior Hockey League in Ontario, a player jumped his opponent in the corner, throwing punches at the unexpecting opponent.

Dirty Play Breaks Out in Ontario Junior Hockey League

Fighting is one thing in hockey, proponents argue that it has its place in the game, and that argument holds its weight. However, what happened during this Junior Hockey League game is something else.

During the game in the GOJHL, a Junior Hockey League in Ontario, a player on the Port Colborne Sailors got so mad over something that happened, that he decided to rip off the helmet of a Fort Erie Meteors player and throw massive punches.

This will be more than a few.... 😳

Player Handed 4 Game Suspension for the Play

The question immediately arose about how many games this player would be suspended for, as it was pretty unanimous that he deserved some sort of extra punishment for the play. It turns out, the League determined that this was worth a 4-game suspension.

UPDATE: Doyle has received a four-game suspension for Intent To Injure.

What do you think about the suspension?
