If Mark Scheifele, who has requested a trade, ends up being moved, it's likely he'll be the one to go instead of Hellebuyck, if the team has to choose between the two. Without Hellebuyck in net, the Jets would compromise their playoff hopes significantly. Losing a Vezina Trophy contender would put immense pressure on their backup goaltender, Laurent Brossoit, and adversely affect their playoff prospects.
