The Ottawa Senators are currently in a state of desperation as they endeavor to secure a wildcard spot before the end of the season.

Although a significant win against the Flyers in overtime could greatly improve their chances, it wasn't the main topic of discussion following last night's game.

Derrick Brassard, a Senator's forward, is recognized for his high level of intensity during ice hockey games.

However, his fervor led to a mishap as he skated towards the Flyers' net towards the end of the second period. In the process, his leg became twisted in an unusual way, causing him to lose balance and twist it even further. Such injuries are worrisome and can have severe long-term consequences for players.

We have no update on the situation left but it is always challenging to witness injuries of this nature, and our sincere wish is for Brassard to have a quick and complete recovery.
