The Montreal Canadiens golf tournament took place yesterday. During the event, we were fortunate to have several excellent interviews, but above all to learn the identity of new assistant captain Nick Suzuki. Michael Matheson and Brendan Gallagher will support the captain in a leadership role. While Matheson proved his worth last year, Gallagher has proven himself time and again since joining the Habs. In fact, according to Stéphane Waite, he is the CH's true captain: <q>All teams have bad contracts... Gallagher, it bothers me less because he's the real captain. - Stéphane Waite</q> Although Waite hasn't been employed by the team for years, the fact remains that he's been around Gallagher a lot and knows the dynamics of a locker room. Personally, I think his statement simply means that Gallagher is an asset to the Habs in terms of leadership and that he's a great assistant to Suzuki. I take a positive view of this statement. <iiffrraammee src=https://www.facebook.com/plugins/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FRDS%2Fposts%2Fpfbid035Y5wod61zYDh1dXYe49NqP99NHANBPTpohanP8uDKf2kaiqV7ctiku2vvUEZWxM2l&show_text=true height=629 style=width:100%;max-width:500px;border:none;overflow:hidden scrolling=no frameborder=0 allowfullscreen=true allow=autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; picture-in-picture; web-share></iiffrraammee>
