The first player to be sent to waivers by the Canadiens is known

The way the rules are set up in the NHL, absolutely every team has to send players to the waivers at some point.

The Habs are no exception to the rule, and one candidate is already targeted to be the first sent to the waivers. We're talking about Michael Pezzetta.

It's true that Pezz is a real warrior, but let's be honest. If the CH hadn't had so many injuries in the last two years, would he really have been playing in Montreal? Right now, with the team healthy, it's doubtful he'll play in the 12-man forward line.

And that's not counting the potential surprises at camp. Imagine if one or two youngsters were to shine so brightly as to earn a spot on the roster at the start of the season, like Joshua Roy or Owen Beck, for example. In any case, Pezzetta is an ideal candidate to be demoted to Laval or claimed by another team.
