The Centre Vidéotron and Quebec City are waiting for just one thing: the return of the Nordiques. Quebec City has long been ready to welcome back its NHL team, but Gary Bettman prefers to keep a franchise in Arizona and let it rot there. It's pretty sad when you think about it, when the reasons for Bettman's refusal aren't exactly unanimous. The potential fan base in and around Quebec City may be small, but it's very passionate and dedicated. A poll is currently underway on Twitter, and it's getting a lot of reaction. The site BarDown, which has over 200k subscribers, asked its fans which city is most deserving of an expansion team. Out of more than 1,000 comments, not only does Quebec City come out on top, the capital is named by people who aren't Quebecers, or even Canadians, sometimes. Hockey fans in general are sending a clear message to Gary Bettman. Bettman and the NHL are going to have to wake up one day. The popular vote is clearly leaning towards a return of the Nordiques and a move of the Coyotes. If the League continues to ignore the wishes of the fans, it will lose a lot of credibility.
