Three players have been put on waivers including a surprise

There is some action in the NHL today as three players were placed on waivers by their respective teams.

The Maple Leafs submitted Joey Anderson, the Ducks submitted Justin Kirkland, and the Panthers submitted Chris Tierney.

In 13 games this season, Tierney has two goals and three points. The 28-year-old has had productive 40+ point seasons in his career.

Anderson, 24, has played 14 games for the Leafs this season, scoring two goals and three points.

Kirkland, 26, has no points in seven games with the Ducks this year.
