Nicolas Daigle and Massimo Siciliano pleaded guilty to sexual assault in a Quebec City courtroom. They were both suspended from the QMJHL shortly after the incident took place during the 2021 playoffs. They pleaded guilty to the charge after one of the player's phone was allowed to be admitted as evidence in the case.

They could face up to 10 years in prison
The reaction from the QMJHL at the time was swift and decisive, ensuring that the league completely severed ties with the two players. The case is an open-and-shut one because the players plead guilty just before the trial was set to begin. Siciliano, a defenseman, played 72 games in the QMJHL, all with the Victoriaville Tigres. He scored six points over three seasons with the team, all assists. Nicolas Daigle played 93 games for the Tigres, scoring 14 goals and 39 points as a forward.
