Very disturbing development involving Cale Makar of the Colorado Avalanche

The bad news was confirmed yesterday for Colorado Avalanche star defenseman Cale Markar.

After suffering a concussion earlier this month when he collided with Pittsburgh Penguins forward Jeff Carter, Makar said he will be out for nearly two weeks.

However, what's getting attention is that in his return game a few days ago, #8 took another bad blow to the head when he collided with Alexey Toropchenko of the St. Louis Blues.

The team's head coach, Jared Bednar, confirmed that the 24 year old suffered another concussion, his second since the beginning of February.

The situation is of particular concern, as two head injuries in such a short period of time could have long-term effects on Makar's health.

Let's hope there is more fear than harm, as he is one of, if not the best defenseman in the NHL.
