When Kent Hughes traded up to acquire Alex Newhook, we weren't sure what kind of player would show up at training camp. We know his undeniable talent, but it wasn't working out in Colorado. A bit like Kirby Dach, Newhook could well benefit from a fresh start and the presence of Martin St-Louis to unblock. It's a very small sample, but we've just seen what he can bring to the team. A video is currently circulating, as the forward beat everyone with speed from his zone, before finally going two-on-one and scoring a superb goal. If you look at the team's current players, there's no one else who can do that, except Josh Anderson, who doesn't have as much of an offensive touch. Kent Hughes has therefore targeted his player well. Here's the video in question: <iiffrraammee src=https://www.facebook.com/plugins/video.php?height=314&href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FRDS%2Fvideos%2F761393925752519%2F&show_text=false&width=560&t=0 width=560 height=314 style=border:none;overflow:hidden scrolling=no frameborder=0 allowfullscreen=true allow=autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; picture-in-picture; web-share allowFullScreen=true></iiffrraammee>
