The NHL commissioner Gary Bettman officially met with investor groups from two cities for possible NHL expansion. While all eyes are turned to the playoffs, Bettman held meetings with two investor groups, from Houston and Atlanta, to discuss the possible expansion or relocation plans. It all happened on Monday, in New York. The insider Kevin Weekes shared the update in a video posted on X: 👀 I'm told that members of the Tilman Fertitta led Houston group, and the Vernon Krause led Atlanta group are meeting with the @NHL in NYC. #HockeyTwitter #HockeyX

Recent expension teams have been very lucrative for the NHL, and it makes sense to see Bettman looking at his options to get even more teams in the League. With the Arizona Coyotes still surrounded by relocation rumors, and more cities interested in joining the League, such as Quebec and Salt Lake City, don't be surprised if he see a 33rd and/or a 34th team in the coming years.
