In a tragic turn of events, 16-year-old young hockey player Aaron Cheadle has tragically passed away after his vehicle hit a tree during a snowstorm. <a href='https://kstp.com/kstp-news/local-news/teen-killed-in-central-minnesota-crash/' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Authorities have identified the 16-year-old boy who died Sunday evening in a car accident</a> in Todd County. The boy has been identified as Browerville sophomore Aaron Cheadle. <div align='center'><blockquote class='twitter-tweet' data-lang='en'><a href='https://twitter.com/LetsPlay_Hockey/status/1863796618429899025'> </a></blockquote></div> Aaron Cheadle was a hardworking forward with the Prairie Centre North Stars hockey team. A week earlier, he had made his first-ever varsity game, thus to many he was a young player with great promise and an excellent prospect for the seasons to come. The Minnesota State Patrol said the crash occurred on Highway 71 near 150th Street in Little Sauk Township about 9:50 p.m. Aaron's name wasn't released publicly until late Monday afternoon. The car accident report issued summarized that on Highway 71, a Ford Taurus headed north and operated by Aaron Cheadle swerved from the road onto a tree. Road conditions at the time of the accident included snow and ice; no other vehicles were involved in the incident. Our thoughts and most heartfelt condolences are with Aaron's family, his teammates, coaches, classmates, and friends in this worst moment. The closeness within this hockey community, indeed among all who knew him, will without doubt bind the people closer to give mutual support against a tragedy which is hardly imaginable. These tragedies always send a purely salient signal: be very careful on the road, especially during bad weather.
