During a recent game between the Wild and the Ducks, Marc-Andre Fleury was penalized for a surprising reason.

Controversial Penalty for Marc-Andre Fleury in Game Against the Anaheim Ducks

NHL goalies don't often take penalties, but last night was different. Marc-André Fleury received a penalty after Ducks' Frank Vatrano ran into the goalie's stick face first.

Fleury, who was looking at the other way, couldn't avoid the contact.

"Not sure how Fleury is supposed to avoid Frank Vatrano skating face-first into his stick?" SpokedZ on X said.

Besides the controversial penalty, Fleury had a great performance. Not only did he won five out of his last six games, he continues to show that he's one of the best goalies in the league, even at 39 years old.

With a win tonight, Marc-Andre Fleury is now 9-2-0 in his last 12 games with a 1.94 GAA, a .926 SV% and one shutout. Fleury has now won in four consecutive starts.
