The fierce competition between the Vancouver Canucks and Edmonton Oilers has reached new heights in this year's second round, igniting tensions both on and off the ice. The Canucks haven't been in the running for the playoffs for quite awhile now but despite this, the rivalry between them and the Oilers has still been going strong, with both teams attacking each other on social media, and in particular, attacking Dakota Joshua of the Vancouver Canucks. Both teams clearly carry a lot of disdain towards each other and everyone's interested to see how this will finally come to a head eventually. Joshua, who secured a four-year deal with a $3.25M cap hit, saw a significant raise from his entry-level contract. His performance on the ice has evidently bothered the Oilers, prompting media criticism of his new contract. Oilers' media personality Tyler Yaremchuk didn't hold back, predicting that Joshua's contract would not last its full term. <q>I will make a bold proclamation.
