Vladimir Bure is the father of two well-known NHL players: Pavel and Valeri Bure. He splashed around in the pool, having won four Olympic medals, one of silver and three of bronze, which led him to secure his positions among the very best in the world's sport arena. But above all of his achievements, Vladimir was proud to be the father of two NHL stars, Pavel and Valeri Bure. Pavel, more commonly referred to as the Russian Rocket, was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame and is one of the NHL's 100 Greatest Players as named by NHL.com. With two Maurice Rocket Richard Trophies in hand, along with a Calder Trophy, Pavel made his mark on the Vancouver Canucks and later the Florida Panthers and New York Rangers. While Valeri Bure did not rise to the same heights as his brother, he still had a respected career in the NHL.
