Veteran Defenseman Chiarot Breaks Major Rule During Scrum With Sabres Forward

The Detroit Red Wings were looking to end a six-game losing streak this afternoon. In the process, one veteran defenseman got himself into a bit of trouble.

Chiarot Punches Linesman In face Trying To Get At Sabres Forward

The 32-year-old was part of a scrum this afternoon as tensions boiled over during the Red Wing's game against the Buffalo Sabres. On the other side of things was Jordan Greenway, a physical power forward known for causing a ruckus. Luckily for him, a linesman stepped in the way as Chiarot had him lined up for a right hook.





This was a particularly important contest with the Wings struggling lately and the Sabres holding onto their slim playoff hopes. Luckily for them, they were able to hold the Sabres at bay, earning the victory.

Chiarot Makes Up For Fight With Teammate During Practice

It has been quite the week for Chiarot. It started off with him making headlines as he got into an altercation with Lucas Raymond at a team practice. Things got so bad that other players had to step in to break them up.



The defender quickly made up for this though as he came to Raymond's defense in a scrum with the Coyotes in the game immediately after said practice. That play resulted in both players going to the box, giving them an opportunity to talk things over.



Noe Chiarot and the Red Wings will look to continue winning as they try to punch their ticket for the team's first playoff birth since 2016.
