As for the Edmonton Oilers, they are more likely to be buyers at the NHL Trade Deadline. The Canucks have been rumored to be looking for a veteran center to replace the production of J.T. Miller before the deadline comes. The Jets on the other hand are likely looking for players that are depth pieces both at forward and on defense to round out what has already been an incredible group. With a mix of bottom feeders and contenders with scouts in attendance it seems likely that scouts will be watching both teams closely for potential trade pieces. Over the next couple of weeks it will be interesting to see if these scouts in attendance turn into actual deals being made between teams.
