As soon as GM of the Oilers Stan Bowman's time was up to match the offer sheets sent by the Blues, he completed a trade with St. Louis immediately after.

It was just confirmed that Oilers GM Stan Bowman would not be matching the offer sheets the Blues sent to Dylan Holloway and Philip Broberg, which meant both players were now heading to St. Louis.

Not only did the Oilers receive two draft picks from the Blues for not having matched the offer sheets, but a trade between the two teams was immediately completed afterwards. The Blues have sent a 2028 3rd-round draft pick as well as the unsigned defenseman Paul Fischer to the Oilers for future considerations.

Paul Fischer is only 19 and was drafted 138th overall by the Blues in 2023. The 6'1" defenseman played for the University of Notre Dame in the NCAA during the 2023-24 season, where he managed to put up 16 points in 34 games.

More details will follow as information is revealed.
