The Gatineau Olympiques made a very sad announcement today as one of their former players tragically passed away unexpectedly. The player was former Olympiques goaltender Creed Jones, who appeared in more than 60 games for the organization between 2018 and 2020. <q>It is with great sadness that the Gatineau Olympiques organization has learned of the passing of one of our alumni, Creed Jones. Creed last played hockey for the University of Ottawa and remained in the area as a local goalie instructor. He primarily played for the Olympiques, but he also made appearances for the Saint John Sea Dogs and the Rimouski Oceanic. He had a career record of 27-47-8. In the 2020-21 season he appeared in eight playoff games for Rimouski, where he went 3-5 with a 3.83 goals-against-average and a .898 save percentage. He had four career shutouts regular season and playoffs combined. Rest in peace Creed.
