Last night the Columbus Blue Jackets played against the Carolina Hurricanes. During the game, the social media team mocked a Coyotes fan who was in attendance despite his team not playing. Immediately the team faced backlash for the actions they took. During the second period of the game, the social media team was looking to fill time as the game was on a break. To do so they did what many teams do and showed the crowd. At one point they found an Arizona Coyotes fan and put up a road sign mocking the Coyotes for moving to Salt Lake City. The sign was seen as disrespectful and downright rude by many fans who saw it. Extremely dissrespectful.

THAT IS SO EVIL

Some fans saw this as a fun joke while others saw it as a cruel insult to a fan mourning the loss of his team. It also continues the trend that fans feel the game of hockey is not growing or becoming more inclusive due to this type of mockery from one team to another. Hopefully, despite the unfortunate situation the fan had a good time at the game and can continue to enjoy hockey and the Coyotes even once they move to a new city.
