Bowen Byram leaves the Buffalo Sabres for personal reasons

Today the Buffalo Sabres have announced that Bowen Byram will be stepping away from the team for personal reasons. This announcement comes as a shock to those around the organization as Bowen Byram had been with the team in recent days.
The Buffalo Sabres face off against the Washington Capitals tonight. They will do so without young defenseman Bowen Byram. He will be out for the next few days due to personal reasons according to a new announcement.#LetsGoBuffalo D Bowen Byram will not play tonight vs #ALLCAPS (personal)
Bowen Byram will not be in tonight's lineup due to a personal matter.
Earlier this season Bowen Byram was traded to the Buffalo Sabres in a trade deadline deal. In return, the Colorado Avalanche received Casey Mittelstadt who is now playing in their top-six. With the Buffalo Sabres' playoff chances at zero Bowen Byram's absence is not as frustrating as it could've been for fans.
