Concerns Rise as Connor McDavid Misses Practice Ahead of Playoffs

Edmonton Oilers fans are feeling a bit on edge as Connor McDavid missed practice for the second straight day.

With no official word from the team, everyone's turning to radio commentator Bob Stauffer for some insight.


Adding to the mystery, Oilers GM Ken Holland just called up Dylan Holloway from the AHL's Bakersfield Condors, and he's hitting the ice for practice today.



The timing is raising eyebrows since the Oilers have six games left in the regular season, kicking off Wednesday against the Vegas Golden Knights. It could also impact ticket prices as McDavid is one apple away from becoming just the fourth player in NHL history, (Wayne Gretzky 11X, Mario Lemieux , Bobby Orr) to record 100 assists in a season.


It could just be a precautionary move, giving McDavid some rest before the playoffs. Yet the vague updates from the team has got everyone a bit jittery with the postseason around the corner.
