Montreal Canadiens fans are intrigued by the addition of Patrik Laine this summer, but he's already making a difference off the ice by spreading mental health awareness. Earlier this month, Laine and his fiancée, Jordan Leigh, launched their program From Us To You. We are so excited to finally be able to share what we have been working on. This project is close to our hearts, and we hope that by creating 'From Us to You,' we can open up a safe space for discussion, support, resources, and growth together.

Laine, who joined the NHL/Players' Association Player Assistance Program also highlighted the importance of therapy and talking openly about feelings. It's worse to hide them, keep them in a bottle and wallow into silent depression. I've learned that talking is the best medicine, whether it's to your friends or a professional. For me, it's been my therapist... it's been a lifesaver - going through the emotions over and over again, even though it's not too much fun to talk about.

With the new season around the corner, Laine is looking forward to a fresh start in Montreal. He's got a strong track record with 403 points in 504 NHL games. He's a former 40 goal scorer with one of the premiere shots in the NHL. Here's to hoping this fresh start with the Habs is exactly what he needs!
