The Nashville Predators have loaded up this off-season, and with so much veteran talent, it appears as though they're open to the idea of trading some young names. Despite adding both Jeff Skinner and Victor Arvidsson this off-season in free agency, the Edmonton Oilers lost two young players in Philip Broberg and Dylan Holloway, as they were both tendered offer sheets by the St. Louis Blues that weren't matched. Now, with the oldest roster in the NHL, the Oilers have a glaring lack of youth in their lineup, and it's something that General Manager Stan Bowman is reportedly looking to address quickly. According to a report from The Mug, the Oilers have begun discussions with Nashville that would see them land Dante Fabbro, as well as Philip Tomasino, who would serve as replacements for the two offer sheeted players. There are some rumblings that the Edmonton Oilers & Nashville Predators have been discussing a trade surrounding D Dante Fabbro. Am working on confirming the reports. Can confirm there is smoke behind this. have reached out to representatives from the NHL Network to confirm THEIR Sources. Oilers connected to Fabbro AND Philip Tomasino here.

What the report didn't reveal however was the potential return, but with two additional high picks that were acquired from St. Louis in the transaction, they have the pieces to make a deal. With some major needs heading into the 2024/25 campaign, this would make sense, but given that there could be some much bigger fish available at the trade deadline, we will wait and see whether they make a move now or wait for the future.
