Shock update on the return date for both Matt Murray and Ilya Samsonov

The Maple Leafs have some huge goaltender questions to answer ahead of the playoffs, and now, the returns for both Matt Murray and Ilya Samsonov make that harder.

This past week, the Toronto Maple Leafs announced that Matt Murray would see a specialist about his hip in regards to a potential return, and now, they've been shocked at his return to the ice at full practice. Now, Mark Masters has also reported that the veteran is looking to make his return ahead of the playoffs, which would be a major boost to Toronto's chances.

Now, the team have also revealed that Ilya Samsonov's return to the ice will come quicker than expected, as he has been named the starter for the teams critical showdown with the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday.

Now, the team have major questions to answer, as Samsonov has been their best goaltender this season, but with Matt Murray having two Stanley Cup's under his belt, he may be the best man for the job. Unfortunately, he's not played since the playoffs last season, so that time away could certainly result in rust, so now, there's extra pressure on Sheldon Keefe as he enters the most important period in his time as Head Coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
