The Montreal Canadiens made short work of the Chicago Blackhawks yesterday. Even though both teams are in the bottom half of the overall standings, we could see yesterday that there was a mile separating the performances of our Canadiens, versus the real teams that go for the tanking, not that Gary Bettman is turning a blind eye to this. But that's not the point. We experienced a first in nearly 20 years yesterday at the Bell Centre, when the three stars of the game were all Quebec players. It's as much fun to see as it is surprising to learn that you have to go back to 2003 to get a similar result, when Jose Theodore, Yanic Perreault and Mike Ribeiro made up the star trio of the night.

Yesterday, the stars were Jonathan Drouin, David Savard and Michael Matheson. With equal talent, it is certain that we love to see Quebecers in the Canadiens' lineup and the fact that we see great stories, such as the one about Rafaël Harvey-Pinard and Alex Belzile, also helps bring the club's fans together.
