While that is normally a scary scene in and of itself, everybody's fear rose exponentially after Podkolzin began to convulse on the ice. CONTENT WARNING

Very scary situation. Thankfully, Podkolzin is alive and seemingly well at this moment. We do not know how much time he will miss but given the nature of the injury, any degree of time missed would not be surprising. Podkolzin was the 10th overall pick in 2019 and played in 39 NHL games last year scoring 7 points along the way. He started the year in the AHL and was tearing the league up with five goals and seven points in six games.
