Canadiens catastrophic announcement regarding Arber Xhekaj

The Montreal Canadiens provided a late night medical update on several players on the team, including Arber Xhekaj.

We just learned that the news is not going well for the number 72, to the point that the defenseman will have to go under the knife next week to heal his right shoulder.

Among the updates from the organization, we learn that Xhekaj's season is officially over.

He will be operated on by Dr. Peter J. Millet in Denver, the same doctor who operated on Josh Anderson and Cole Caufield.

This is devastating news for fans who were hoping to see "Wifi" back in the lineup in the next few weeks.

By the way, we learned from the Tricolore that Joel Edmundson will accompany his teammates on the road next week. He should be at practice on Monday.

As for Kirby Dach, he will be absent for an undetermined period of time, due to his mysterious lower body injury.
