He's sometimes overlooked in the Habs' promising defensive lineup of Kaiden Guhle, Jordan Harris, Arber Xhekaj and company, but there's also a guy named Lane Hutson in the organization and his first season in the NCAA is proving that he's an elite talent. He literally single-handedly won his team the game yesterday against Mass Lowell University, making himself look like Cale Makar by scoring two mind-blowing goals. Boston University's #20 scored the tying goal late in the third period and did it again in overtime to give his team the win. Check out his first goal, with a great control in the offensive zone:

Here's his great build-up to the winning goal:

The 18-year-old Hutson is dominating the NCAA even though he is currently playing his first college season. In seven games so far, he has three goals and eight points. Just for comparison, in their year as freshman, Makar compiled a record of five goals and 21 points in 34 games, while Quinn Hughes produced five goals and 29 points in 37 games. Hutson is clearly at the same level, if not even stronger in his first NCAA season so far.
