Kent Hughes has made another personnel move following the acquisition of Chris Tierney

The general manager of the Montreal Canadiens was active today, as he claimed forward Chris Tierney on waivers.

Following this acquisition, Hughes had to make a personnel move to allow the addition of Tierney's contract to the organization.

As a result, he placed Chris Wideman's name on the injured list. The veteran defenseman is out with an upper body injury. He will be evaluated on a weekly basis.

In 13 games this season, Tierney has three points for the Panthers. He will join the team tomorrow morning for morning practice in Philadelphia and is expected to face the Flyers.
