It's been everywhere for the past two days: the Flyers are trying to trade their number-one goaltender Carter Hart. Obviously, the Habs don't have a great future in front of the net, and several rumours are sending the goalie to Montreal. Arpon Basu and Marc Antoine Godin of The Athletic did some digging to find out the CH's intentions in this matter, and the answer was pretty clear. The 24-year-old goalie can be seen as an interesting option given that he's still improving and has a chance of becoming one of the NHL's good goalies. But while the age curve and the Habs' desire to improve in front of the net could make Hart an interesting option, the organization has decided not to pursue this avenue. The motivation behind this choice is unclear, but the situation has been described to us as unacceptable. - Marc-Antoine Godin We won't lie to you, Hart is in high demand around the League, and it's a safe bet that the Habs aren't ready to raise the stakes for this goaltender. Carter Hart will therefore continue his career far from Montreal and his idol Carey Price's position.

What we're hearing on the Canadiens, Pierre-Luc Dubois and Carter Hart, with @MAGodin
https://t.co/8BMf8msyFJ- Arpon Basu (@ArponBasu) June 8, 2023
