The Detroit Red Wings announced today that they have placed one of their top forwards, Jakub Vrana, on the waivers. In two games with the Wings this season, the 26-year-old winger has two points. Unfortunately, he spent several weeks in the NHL's player assistance program this season. We don't know if that has anything to do with him being placed on waivers. The former first round pick in 2014 is a talented forward who was traded to Detroit in 2021 in a big trade involving Quebec's Anthony Mantha. He has one more season left after this year at $5.25M. <div align='center'><blockquote class='twitter-tweet' data-lang='en'><a href='https://twitter.com/reporterchris/status/1610350730061254658?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1610350730061254658%7Ctwgr%5Ed7f0e33085e6ce896a261408b1d82c874bafb4d1%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.rumeursdetransaction.com%2FEnorme-surprise-au-ballottage-194692'> </a></blockquote></div>
