It's one of those weird things that you might not notice at first, but once it's pointed out, you can't unsee it. During the recent game between the Edmonton Oilers and Vegas Golden Knights, something strange was happening with the captain's C on Mark Stone's jersey, as well as the A on Alex Pietrangelo's.

In highlights from Sportsnet's YouTube channel, it's clear that the letters on the players' jerseys are coming in and out of focus regularly. At one point, Stone is in a defensive position, looking to block a shot, and there's no visible C on his sweater at all.

It's unclear whether this issue is related to the animated board ads that the NHL recently implemented. Gary Bettman seems to be proud of them, but they've been glitching and cutting some players' body parts out of the picture completely for short periods of time.

If this is the cause of the jersey lettering issue, the league really needs to get it figured out.

It's a small detail, but it's part of the overall experience of watching a game. Fans want to be able to clearly see who's wearing the C and A on their jerseys. Let's hope the NHL can address this issue soon and ensure that their product is presented in the best possible way.
