When a Quebecer of Pierre-Luc Dubois's stature absolutely wants to come and play in Montreal, we tend to wonder if it's true or just a bad joke. These days, it just doesn't happen. And with Sean Monahan's kind words for Martin St-Louis yesterday, it's easy to see why the NHL is so excited. In Dubois's case, it's the whole package. He knows he couldn't be happier than playing for the Habs, living in Montreal year-round and playing under St-Louis. The infatuation seems mutual, but you have to draw the line at what you're willing to pay for him, and Marc-Olivier Beaudoin has drawn that line. It's a personal opinion, but we agree with him. Am I thrilled with the potential addition of Pierre-Luc Dubois? Definitely. But not at any price! FLA 1st + Dvorak/Edmundson + Decent prospect (e.g. Kidney/Kapanen). And a 7-8 season contract at an annual salary of 7-7.5 million. - Marc-Olivier Beaudoin

That would be the most he'd give, and we're also of the opinion that if it doesn't work, we'll have to make another call. Christian Dvorak and/or Joel Edmundson and a decent prospect, plus a 7-8 year extension at 7 or 7.5 million per season. What do you think?
