Last Saturday, the Canadiens shared a superb video filmed on Friday of David Reinbacher's arrival at the Bell Centre, as he toured the team's facilities. The 5th overall pick met several team personnel, all of whom seemed delighted to meet him. There was also one completely unexpected person. Paul Byron can be seen in the video, introducing himself to the young defenseman. Now an uncompensated autonomous player, we won't see Byron on an NHL ice rink again, but there are rumors that he could have a management position. Theoretically, Paul was still a member of the CH on Friday, June 30. However, it's quite surprising to see him there on July 1, and especially so when the organization publishes a video involving him. No announcement has yet been made, but expect the Habs to confirm Paul Byron's hiring in a management role shortly.

David Reinbacher's first visit to Montreal was in 2017.

His second visit was on Friday as a Montreal Canadien 🤩#GoHabsGo | @RBC pic.twitter.com/azOhSVk4CY- Canadiens Montréal (@CanadiensMTL) July 1, 2023
