A transaction occurred today between the Ottawa Senators and the New York Rangers.

"Tyler Motte to the Rangers for Julien Gauthier and a conditional seventh round pick. This pick will become a sixth-round pick if the Rangers move past the first round." - Renaud Lavoie

Forwards Julien Gauthier and Tyler Motte are indeed involved.

There is one condition with the draft pick, however, as if the Rangers get past the first round, the seventh round pick will become a sixth round pick.

Gauthier, 25, is a 6-foot-4, 224-pound winger. He was drafted 21st overall (first round) in 2016. He has nine points in 40 games this season with the Rangers.

Motte, 27, is a 5-foot-10, 192-pound winger. He has nine points in 38 games this season with the Senators. He also played 24 games for the New York Rangers last season, including 15 playoff games.
