The New York Islanders general manager Lou Lamoriello is known for his old-school style. That's nothing new. His players can't have long hair or even facial hair, they can't wear high numbers, no staff of the other team can approach the locker room, everyone in the organization must answer at the second ringtone when he calls, and every staff member must get in touch with him at a specific time during the day. However, a former player added a new item to the list of Lamoriello's rules.

Former Player Michael Rupp Shares New Insight on Lamoriello's Strict Rules
In a recent episode of Spittin' Chiclets, Rupp mentioned that Lamoriello even decided how players would wear their pads before games. He added that players can't use transparent tape and must use red tape for red stockings and white tape for the white stockings. That's a new level of micro-managing. Lamoriello worked with the Devils from 1987 to 2015 and all this happened during his time there. He seems to have losen up a bit since then, but some of those rules are still in effect. <iiffrraammee src=https://www.facebook.com/plugins/video.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Freel%2F917974576406050%2F%3Fref%3Dembed_video&show_text=0&width=267 width=267 height=476 style=border:none;overflow:hidden scrolling=no frameborder=0 allowfullscreen=true allow=autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; picture-in-picture; web-share allowFullScreen=true></iiffrraammee> Do you like Lou Lamoriello's style?
