In a bizarre incident during last night's Canucks-Leafs game, a fan in a green body suit jumped over the boards and came onto the ice and could be punished.

A bizarre moment unfolded Saturday night during a matchup between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Vancouver Canucks at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia.

It got even weirder when a fan dressed as one of the Canucks' infamous "Green Men" stormed the ice mid-game. But it didn't really seem like it was one of the original Green Men in the suit. Thankfully, the whole thing seemed pretty harmless.

The fan jumped onto the ice during regular play and showed no signs of malicious intent. A referee quickly came on the scene, escorting him off the ice with little resistance.

While the incident came to an end quickly, many fans were left in shock by the unexpected turn of events; at least one spectator was seen looking in shock at the intruder's boldness in footage of the event.

The "Green Men" famously torment opponents in the penalty box

Traditionally, the Green Men became famous for tormenting opponents from behind the panes of glass at the sides of the penalty boxes, never touching the game itself.

With that in mind, it's probably a fake person in that costume using the very recognizable outfit to camouflage an identity pulling off a stunt he more than likely knew was over the line.

As it stands, there's no word on any consequences the fan may face for his actions, but should that information become available, we will be sure to pass it on to you.
