Boston Bruins forward Patrick Maroon has sent a warning to Florida Panthers star Matthew Tkachuk after his clash with Bruins teammate David Pastrnak in Stanley Cup Playoffs game two.

It is clear that Matthew Tkachuk likes to stir the pot, but he likes to pick and choose who he stirs the pot with to make himself look tougher. Unfortunately, that was David Pastrnak, noted 60-goal scorer that Tkachuk decided to fight.

The fight wasn't the issue, Patrick Maroon, a teammate of David Pastrnak, noted that Tkachuk's actions were the issue, especially hitting Pastrnak twice on the ground.

Maroon told the media in the pre-game media availability this morning that he knows Tkachuk won't fight him, so Maroon has to take numbers instead.

«I mean Tkachuk's not going to fight me ... Just got to take numbers ... Obviously I didn't like how he hit [Pastrnak] on the ground twice ... I'll probably never play against Tkachuk anyway, so let's be realistic.»

He furthered his comments by expressing his displeasure for the two hits delivered to Pastrnak while he was on all fours. This is a clear stance of protectiveness to Maroon's Bruins teammates.

His later comments also noted that he can't take a stupid penalty and gift Florida a power play. This is strikingly true as Florida loves to pounce on any opportunity they can.

This series is quickly turning into a blood bath and Patrick Maroon will be looking for Matthew Tkachuk tonight during the Bruins and Panthers game three clash.
