Big news in the Windy City as the team continues their rebuilding phase. This means, it's time for the young guns to step up and earn their stripes.

We've already seen the arrival of Landon Slaggert who scored his first NHL goal on Wednesday.

One name that's been buzzing is defenseman Ethan Del Mastro. Drafted in 2021, he turned heads in the OHL and has made his physical presence felt with the AHL's Rockford IceHogs. Standing tall at 6'4" and weighing in at 210 pounds, he was Connor Bedard's bodyguard when the two played together on the 2022 gold medal-winning Canadian world junior team.

Now the two will reunite as Del Mastro is set to make his NHL debut against the Nashville Predators.

With the team needing a boost and fans craving some excitement, Del Mastro's debut couldn't come at a better time.

The enforcer will be the one keeping the opposition in check and standing up for his teammates when things get rough, especially when they take runs at Chicago players like Bedard.
