The Edmonton Oilers have signed the defenseman Josh Brown to a three-year deal during the first day of free agency. Following a trip to the Staley Cup Finals, the Oilers are already focused on their preparation for the next NHL season. Edmonton will do what it takes to do what the Panthers did after they lost in the 2022-23 Stanley Cup Finals: bounce back and win a Cup the next year. After parting ways with President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Ken Holland, more changes are expected in the team and one just happened. The organization announced that they've reached a deal with the defenseman Josh Brown: ANOTHER BROWN LOCKED DOWN 🔒 The #Oilers have signed defenceman Josh Brown to a three-year contract with an AAV of $1 million.

Brown, 30, is a 6'5 right-handed defenseman that will bring a lot to the Oilers blue line. His great defensive skills could be the missing piece for the Oilers. In 2023-24, he scored 10 points in 51 games, but had a +2 goal differential, highlighting his efficiency in his own zone. Alongside Victor Arvidsson's addition, the organization added two specialized players that could have a great impact on the ice next season. VÄLKOMMEN VIKTOR 👋 The #Oilers have signed forward Viktor Arvidsson to a two-year contract with an AAV of $4 million.

More to come.
