Matt Rempe was an absolute force for the Rangers in the regular season, with many believing his physicality and play style would make him a great advantage for this team in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Unfortunately, it hasn't panned out this way, as game two against the Carolina Hurricanes saw the rookie tally just 4:03 of ice-time in the overtime win. Now, Peter Laviolette has addressed that with a very fair analysis of his thinking as a coach behind the bench, and why it's not an intentional move with Rempe; <q>I just feel like that happens all the time in playoffs when you get down to it. When you're trailing in the third period, regardless of minutes, you have to win that game. As I was running the game last night I was thinking about Mika coming off. Wennberg's line went out for 30 seconds, but then there was an offensive zone faceoff so I put Mika back out there. I think it's different too, depending on the score of the game.
