Robin Lehner's bankruptcy case took another unexpected turn, as his very own lawyers have abandoned him as they have not heard from him in a while.

Robin Lehner's lawyers appeared in court attempting to withdraw from representing, the vile NHL goalie Robin Lehner, as his bankruptcy story revealed yet another shocking revelation.

It's the worst news Lehner has received recently. This condition was the first he had experienced since undergoing hip surgery in April 2022, and he had previously opted not to play in the 2024-25 season.

Lehner's assets were frozen after he and his wife, Donya, filed for bankruptcy due to accusations of extravagant spending.

Due to their inability to contact their client as he has been missing in action, Lehner's lawyers, who are with the company Larson & Zirzow, have now filed a move to withdraw from the case.

"Throughout the Chapter 7 filing, communication with the debtors, particularly Mr. Lehner, has been difficult and often sporadic, requiring attempts to reach Mr. Lehner through individuals who worked to facilitate communication between Mr. Lehner and Larson & Zirzow [law firm].

Since estimated early June 2024, communication from Mr. Lehner has completely ceased, despite repeated contact attempts by Larson & Zirzow using a variety of methods to not only Mr. Lehner himself but also to the individuals who previously facilitated the communication."

The motion to withdraw was granted by the judge. However, the court has not yet made a decision about Donya Lehner's representation; it will be decided at a later hearing.

There is no new representation for the Lehners, who will likely go solo as the hearings begin, according to documents taken from Swedish court files.

All while that was happening, Robin Lehner remained signed by the Vegas Golden Knights in the final year of his five-year contract. The 33-year-old will be a free agent this summer, but his hockey future is slowly becoming bleaker.

With the level of craziness involved with this bankruptcy filing, it's hard to see Lehner making his way back between the pipes in any NHL rink anytime soon. It's just been one of those weird situations from the very beginning, now weirder and more confusing as time goes on.
