During a recent episode of Mario Langlois radio show, "Les Amateurs de Sports", former Habs player Maxim Lapierre addressed a question that many fans have been asking about the Montreal Canadiens.

Why doesn't Arber Xhekaj play more?

According to statistics, Xhekaj is the eighth most used defenseman by Martin St-Louis, in terms of average playing time per game (15:07), out of the nine that have made the roster this season.

Lapierre sent a very relevant message to St. Louis when he said that Xhekaj should be playing much more, ideally close to 20 minutes per game.

"I'd like to see him on the ice more. It's not enough for me, I don't understand why. Why isn't he playing 20 minutes?" - Maxim Lapierre

It must be said that the 21-year-old defenseman offers a very attacking performance on the ice, with the loss of Kaiden Guhle, he is the best active scorer among the defensive brigade.

Do you agree with Maxim Lapierre? Do you think Martin St-Louis should use Xhekaj more in the coming games?
