In his most recent ranking of the top under-23 prospects in the Bettman League, prospect tracker Corey Pronman placed Montreal Canadiens' first-round pick Juraj Slafkovsky ahead of Ontario's Shane Wright.

At No. 15, the Montreal Canadiens' first pick is listed, and the next pick would be Shane Wright. Not surprisingly, the top under-23 prospect would be New Jersey Devils forward Jack Hughes. The Devils' number 86 has blossomed dramatically since his rookie season.

German defenseman Moritz Seider comes in second on the list of all prospects. The man who won the Bettman's top rookie award last year could have another great season with the Detroit Red Wings. The team made several solid acquisitions in the off-season, including Quebec's David Perron.

Trevor Zegras was many hockey fans' favourite for the Calder Trophy, but this one saw Moritz Seider take it away. Nevertheless, the Anaheim Ducks player was dominant in 2021-2022. Drafted in 2019, Zegras had 61 points in 75 games in his full-time Bettman campaign.

Defenceman Quinn Hughes and Ottawa Senators captain Brady Tkachuk round out the top five. Among the surprises, big-name defenceman and first overall pick in 2021 Owen Power is ranked 20th. Many experts believe he should be ahead of several players, including Juraj Slafkovsky.

Cole Caufield at 30th, Kirby Dach at 41st, Kaiden Guhle at 119th, Justin Barron at 131st, Lane Hutson at 137th, Joshua Roy at 154th and Filip Mesar at 164th make up the full list of the top 170 U23 prospects.
